British heavyweight Derek Chisora would love to see his manager and former enemy David Haye return to the ring as well as boxing legends Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield.

A trilogy fight between famous foes Tyson and Holyfield, 53 and 57 respectively, could be on the cards after they simultaneously announced a comeback for charity.

‘The Real Deal’ has even welcomed the prospect of a trilogy fight with ‘Iron Mike’, 23 years after having a piece of his ear bitten off by his fellow heavyweight.

Both men have been showcasing their remarkable speed and power in training videos on Instagram – and while some have warned the fighters against returning, Chisora insists they should go for it.

‘Del Boy’ also expects retired British boxer Haye, 39, to come back and settle his feud with American veteran Shannon Briggs, 48, at some point in the future.

He told talkSPORT: “I think he [Holyfield] should fight Mike Tyson. I’d like to see it.

“Shannon Briggs should also fight – I said to David [Haye] he should fight Shannon Briggs and he goes, ‘No, I’m not ready for that yet’ – but he might.

“Anybody can come out of retirement. Remember that. Boxing is an unbelievable sport and it’s an addiction.

“You retire and tell yourself you don’t want to go back, but after six or seven months you realise you’re shadow boxing in your garden, like Tony [Bellew] who tells me he’s retired.

“You’re hitting the bag, going for a run and then something in the back of your mind says, ‘I think I can do it again’.

“It’s difficult to retire and those who do want to do it become trainers like Ricky Hatton. He loves boxing so much and is doing right well now as a trainer.

“It’s inside you and I’m scared of the day I have to put the gloves down.”

Meanwhile, 36-year-old Chisora is chasing a trilogy fight of his own – against fellow Brit Dillian Whyte.

The ‘Body Snatcher’ won on both previous occasions, in 2016 and 2018, although Chisora insists neither victory was conclusive.

Chisora’s upcoming fight against Oleksandr Usyk and Whyte’s next bout with Alexander Povetkin have both been suspended – and ‘Del Boy’ already has his eyes on a rematch.

“I’m better than him,” he added.

“I won the first fight, they gave it to him. Then in the 2nd fight, I had a funny ref.

“I will push for get another fight and a rematch against Dillian. 100 per cent.”
