Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk poked fun at Anfield legend Jamie Carragher after the former centre-back sent him a question during a Twitter Q&A.
The Dutch giant took to social media on Tuesday evening during to coronavirus lockdown and challenged fans to send in their toughest and strangest questions for him to answer.
And among the supporters quizzing the vice-captain on a possible Reds Royale Rumble, his international career and his Liverpool teammates, Anfield great Carragher popped up with a question of his own.
He asked: “What former Liverpool defender in the Premier League era did you base your game on?”
There’s little doubt the question was loaded, with Carragher probably hoping Van Dijk would throw some praise his way.
But he was left disappointed by the defender’s quick-witted reply, as he named one of Carra’s former teammates instead!
“Tough one… probably Sami Hyypiä,” he said.
Tough one … probably Sami Hyypiä 😂😂

Hyypia is a firm Liverpool favourite after his decade-long spell at the Merseyside club.
The Finn was unknown when he arrived from Dutch side Willem II in 1995, but left ten years later as a legend, with the Champions League title, two FA Cups, two League Cups and a UEFA Cup under his arm.
Meanwhile, Bootle boy Carragher spent his entire 17-year career with the Reds.
Van Dijk’s fun didn’t stop there, though, as he also trolled his Liverpool teammate Andy Robertson not once, not twice, but three times during the Q&A.
The defensive pair have previously made fun of each other on social media over a picture of them playing during their careers in the Scottish Premiership.
Robertson insisted to the world that he got the better of the Dutchman on that occasion, and Van Dijk used this occasion to get his own-back.
Not only did the Dutchman make fun of the defender’s dismal dance moves, Van Dijk insisted he is quicker than the flying full-back and also admitted some of the Reds team struggle to understand his Scottish drawl!
