The Miami Hurricanes finished the season on a sour note, suffering a 14-0 shutout loss to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl on Thursday.
The Hurricanes had a dreadful day on offense, failing to get on the scoreboard and finishing with just 227 total yards, 71 of which came on the final two drives of the game, while also turning the ball over three times.
With the loss, Miami finishes 6-7 in the program’s first season under head coach Manny Diaz, marking the Hurricanes’ first losing season since 2014.
Needless to say, the college football media had plenty of thoughts on the Hurricanes’ performance in the game
This certainly wasn’t the finish the Hurricanes were hoping for in Manny Diaz’s first season. It was arguably the most disappointing loss in a season that included losses to a three-win Georgia Tech team and a six-win Florida International team.
